1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and
Pastee ("we", "us", "our") regarding your access to and use of the Pastee application,
website, and services (collectively, the "Service").
2. Description of Service
Pastee is a clipboard management application that allows you to:
- Sync clipboard content across multiple devices
- Store and manage clipboard history
- Search and organize copied items
- Transfer files between devices using P2P technology
- Share clipboard content with other users
3. Eligibility
You must meet the following requirements to use Pastee:
- Be at least 13 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
- Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
- Comply with all local laws regarding online conduct
4. Account Registration
4.1 Account Creation
To use Pastee, you must create an account by providing:
- A valid email address
- A secure password
- Or authenticate via Google OAuth
4.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
4.3 Account Limitations
- One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account
- You may not share your account with others
- Accounts are non-transferable
5. Subscription Plans
5.1 Free Tier
The Free tier includes:
- Up to 1,000 clipboard items
- Basic features and functionality
- Standard support
5.2 Pro Tier
Pro subscriptions include:
- Unlimited clipboard items
- Advanced features
- Priority support
- Data export functionality
5.3 Payment Terms
- Billing - Subscriptions are billed monthly ($9.9/month) or yearly ($99/year)
- Auto-renewal - Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
- Cancellation - You may cancel at any time; access continues until period end
- No Refunds - Payments are non-refundable except as required by law
6. Acceptable Use Policy
6.1 Permitted Use
You may use Pastee only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
6.2 Prohibited Activities
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service to store or transmit illegal, harmful, or offensive content
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Upload viruses, malware, or malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
- Reverse engineer or decompile the application
- Use the Service to spam or harass others
- Resell or commercially exploit the Service
- Use automated systems to access the Service (except our official API)
7. Content and Data
7.1 Your Content
You retain all rights to the content you store in Pastee ("Your Content").
By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:
- Store and process Your Content to provide the Service
- Backup Your Content for disaster recovery
- Display Your Content to you across your devices
7.2 Content Restrictions
You agree that Your Content will not contain:
- Illegal or pirated materials
- Malicious software or code
- Private information of others without consent
- Content that violates third-party rights
7.3 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable laws,
without prior notice.
8. Storage Limits
- Free Users - Maximum 1,000 clipboard items
- Pro Users - Unlimited items (fair use policy applies)
- File Size - Individual files limited to 100MB
- Fair Use - Excessive usage may be subject to throttling
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Our Rights
The Pastee application, including its design, code, logo, and content (excluding Your Content),
is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
9.2 License to Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Pastee application
for personal or internal business purposes.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our
Privacy Policy,
which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
11. Third-Party Services
Pastee integrates with third-party services:
- Google OAuth - Governed by Google's Terms of Service
- Stripe - Governed by Stripe's Terms of Service
We are not responsible for the practices or policies of these third-party services.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be:
- Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Free from viruses or harmful components
- Accurate or reliable
- Meeting your specific requirements
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Loss of data or content
- Loss of profits or revenue
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months,
or $100, whichever is greater.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses
arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your Content
15. Termination
15.1 By You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Deleting your account in the application settings
- Contacting our support team
15.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- Your account remains inactive for 6+ months (with prior notice)
- We discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice)
- Required by law
15.3 Effect of Termination
- Your access to the Service will end immediately
- Your data will be deleted within 30 days
- You may request a data export before deletion (Pro users)
- Fees paid are non-refundable
16. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via:
- Email notification
- In-app notification
- Update on this page with revised "Last Updated" date
Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
17. Dispute Resolution
17.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to
conflict of law provisions.
17.2 Arbitration
Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that you may
assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify.
